Mission Statement

Building Blocks

Gospel.

Gracepoint Church is passionate about the gospel. The gospel is the good news that God is redeeming a sinful people for relationship with himself through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The beauty of the gospel is that it both saves and sanctifies us. The power of the gospel is that it is the motivation driving us to love both our God and our neighbors. Because we come to know God and his gospel through the Bible, we at Gracepoint Church devote ourselves to the proclamation of God’s Word.

Corinthians 15:1-5

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

Gracepoint Church exists to glorify God by equipping His people with the gospel to build the Kingdom in the Greater Philadelphia area and beyond.

Community.

At Gracepoint Church, we understand that life was not designed to be lived alone. As you read the Bible, you will find numerous “one another” commands: love one another, pray for one another, serve one another, encourage one another, comfort one another, just to name a few. These commands simply cannot be carried out in a single worship service every week. At Gracepoint Church, growth groups are the primary way we encourage our people to fulfill these commands.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

Galatians 6:2

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Mission.

Jesus Christ has changed the people of Gracepoint Church.  And we believe that you should never keep good news to yourself — we must share the gospel. So as a church, we strive to live on a mission and desire to share Jesus with our neighbors.  At Gracepoint Church, we believe that God wants every member to be such a missionary.

Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
